Falstaff 2021 awards us 90 points for the following wines: 2019 „kunststück“ Weißer Burgunder & Auxerrois trocken, 2019 Weißer Burgunder Spätlesetrocken; 2019 Riesling „Alte Reben“ trocken; 2019 Riesling Auslese
On September 8, we kicked off harvest 2020 with Chardonnay grapes that will be processed for sparkling wine. So far we have great dry and sunny weather, perfect for the last bit of ripeness that we are looking for in our grapes.
During this week we will harvest the early ripening varieties such as Auxerrois. After that, we will decide each and every day, which vineyard has the perfect ripeness for being harvested.
We have perfectly healthy and aromatic grapes, and the weather is sunny and dry - best conditions for a relaxed harvest time and a great vintage 2020.

The renowned magazine »FOCUS« searched for the best wines of Germany 2019. In the category »Pinot Gris under 10 €«, our 2018 Grauer Burgunder (Pinot Gris) late harvest dry grown on Bermersheimer Hildegardisberg reached the 3rd place – this is a great honour!
Our 2018 Grauer Burgunder (Pinot Gris) late harvest dry grown on Bermersheimer Hildegardisberg won 89 points in the Falstaff GrauburgunderTrophy 2019. We love Pinot Gris and this is obviously what the experts tasted in the wine.
Our 2016 Pinot brut sparkling (traditional method) was awarded with 90 points in the Falstaff Sparkling Trophy 2019. The wine is described as fresh and elegant – we are very proud!

As off now, there are only 100 days left until the beginning of harvest 2019! We expect harvest to start in the third week of September. So far, we had very good conditions for the new vintage. Thus, we can look forward to vintage 2019.
